Here's a start for you...Might help more if you tell us WHERE in the Bay Area you are. Also...I called my dealer for a recommendation.

Hi Darwin... I'm in El Cerrito but work down in Mountain View. At the Sunnyvale Toyota they actually recommended me to goto a guy down in Santa Clara. I actually called him up today and he quoted me about $200++ for all windows minus the Front Windshield. I'm looking to get 50% Front + 35%~20% on back and rear. Well hope this helps. Oh, and btw he only uses Madico, he has offered to pick up my car during work and have it back by the end of the day. I'll probably go down to his shop tomorrow. The address if you have the time is 946 Comstock St., Santa Clara, CA

Dale is the shop owner and you can call him at 408 567 9500

He seems pretty friendly and informative. Hey if you want to do it here, let's try to get a group discount?

(I'm still searching around anyways but i think $200 is good. I just want to verify that Madico is a good film.) Cheers

I'm getting my Prius tinted this Friday at Automall Tint Factory in Fremont. They have an excellent reputation from Bay Area drivers in many of the other automobile web forums (Audi, BMW, Corvette just to name a few).

I haven't made my final decision yet, but was quoted $300 for SunTek HP all-around. I could easily get this done for less without driving 20 miles to Fremont, but Sidney has an excellent reputation among local owners of high-end sports cars and sedans.

I used Rocky Mountain Tint in Fremont. $200 for all windows except windshield. I think it was Llumar brand tint. Very happy with the results.

What's the contact? The dealer i'm considering now says he'll come out to Mountain View and pick up my car. Not quite sure if he'll do the service on the spot or bring it back to his shop. I've see the Rocky Mountain Shop quoted around the chat boards. Does anyone have website/contact info? volts?

An older lady will answer the phone, hard to understand. Extremely polite once I was there, coffee shop on the corner to wait in.
Her husband does the work. Right on time, excellent tinting. 2 hours total.

Fantastic Guyz! Wow I really appreciate that! Cheers! Hey does anyone know if i'll get 'caught' with 35%VLT on my front windows? I know Cali state law says 70% VLT but after i took notice of the rule and actually started looking for cars with tints i was surprised as to how many cars i actually noticed that look like they have 35% or 20% VLT tinting on the front. Maybe i should start a new topic about that. What do you guys think?

Oh, btw i was wondering. After i contacted Rocky mountain, they said they only carry Llumar (which is what i was looking for) but didn't carry the Platinum Plus (which is what i want). What do you guys think about your tinting?
