tire sizes

    which would any of you prefer. i have a 17x7 wheel but i dont know which would be better to wrap them in...???

    215/45 17

    or

    205/45 17

    215/45/17 would be the best to maintain factory tire diameter and is likely to have the largest contact patch. You will likely see a drop in mpg but the handling and "feel" of the car will be drastically improved.

    I had the Kumho Ecsta ASX's in that size and they worked awesome but I'm conducting a test to see how badly they effected my gas milage. So far it doesn't look good. :(

    I recently decided i want the 215 45 17 combo.. but is see someone online selling different sized sets. 215 45 17 in front and 245-45-17 rear.. the 245-45-17 is huge and i wonder if trac would let it work on my prius or would the mph difference at high speeds cause problems...
