    Hello All,

    Please be gentle I'm new.

We have a 2012 Prius III with 36000 miles. Its a great car but the OEM Yokohama Avids are about done. The tire size is 195/65R15

I prefer Michelin tires and have a great Discount Tire store nearby.
My question is about mileage. How muck would the following tires affect gas mileage?

    1) Michelin Energy Saver $146 50,000 Warranty
    2) Michelin Defender A/S $93 90,000 Warranty
    3) Michelin Defender T+H $110 80,000 Warranty

On any other car I would just buy the Defender A/S tires. I have them on other cars and they work great, but how big will the mileage penalty be?

    Thanks!

    Welcome to PC!

Although I can't speak from experience. Based from other threads regarding tires:
Michelin Energy Savers -- about the same as OEMs but quieter.
Michelin Defender A/S -- about 3 MPG lost. Slightly better handling.
Michelin Defender TH -- don't know.

Sorry, I'm responding on my cell, unable to provide the links. Good luck with your tire search.
