Tom's Barrel Exhaust

    Has anyone bought and installed the Tom's Racing Barrel Exhaust? If so, please provide your comments on it. Thank you.

    I found the link from your other thread. In general, the further away from the engine the less effective exhaust modifications become. The exhaust looks like a high quality stainless unit that most likely provides a difference resonance as opposed to actually enhancing efficiency or performance in a measurable capacity. I also suspect that since the Prius utilizes a sophisticated engine management system to provide the best balance of economy and performance that any gains from modifying the stock engine with traditional intake/exhaust "upgrades" would be quite minimal in comparison with a traditionally powered vehicle.
