Hi team, first time poster, long time lurker.
Petrol prices have gone through the roof here in NZ so we are looking at a Prius for my wife. Amongst the plethora of Jap imports on the market, there is a 2011 L spec (base model I think) with a mere 30,000kms. The current owner bought it in 2019 with about 12,000kms on it. She uses it infrequently as she flies to her out of town job.
My question is: Has this lack of mileage had a detrimental affect on the Hybrid battery?
The car is in very good condition and with some negotiation the price will be about right.
    Thanks in advance

    welcome!

it may have, but any 11 year old prius is starting to be in danger of hybrid battery replacement. so i would look into repair/replacement options before buying.
you can also do a battery health check with dr. prius app.

another thing to be aware of is egr circuit/blown head gasket issue. with ow mileage like that, you're not in danger, but it is a maintenance consideration if you buy it.

    all the best!(y)
