Looking for recommendations for touch up paint for my v.

I have a "classic silver" color.

    - Do I need a special paint for the bumper or will the "standard" dealer paint suffice?

    - Is the dealer price the best or aftermarket?

    - What is the best price to look for?

I remember years ago I would buy paint from the dealer. It would be in a small cylindrical bottle with a built in brush on the cap. Inside the cap would be some sort of 'clear coat' you would brush on after the paint had dried. Is this still the case?

FYI. Got drivers side rear bumper scraped in a parking lot hit n run. Luckily only bumper paint scraped off...no sheet metal damage.

    Thanks in advance!

Just order from the dealer, its about $16.00 for a tube, and you are getting OEM paint.

Not sure if it's the same silver tint, but I get the stick type from our dealership, and find it's also a perfect match for silver painted rims.

It's got silver at one end, and clear coat, but: I found the clear coat a disaster, seemed to strip/loosen the underlying silver. So I just stick to using the silver.

Clear coat is not needed on a little touch up spot. But it seems you may have a bigger issue, may want to look into contacting a mobile paint guy for this repair.
