I have a 2007 touring edition and need to replace my tires. As I live in Minnesota, I need all season capability. In the 195/55/R16 size, there are very few choices. The original tire is a Bridgestone Turanza and has handled poorly in the snow. I'm considering 2 tires: Bridgestone Potenza G019 and the Nokian WRG2. The Bridgestone is about 1/2 the cost of the Nokian. Any advice on these tires or what others have done with their Touring Edition replacement tires would be appreciated

My 2007 Touring runs 195/55/16 Turanza OEM tires, 41000 miles. According to the dealer we need to think about replacing them. Interesting that Toyota does not list a 16" tire, but only 15" replacement tires as of 6/24/09. Both the Yokohama AVID T4 and Michelin Pilot Primacy MXV4 are sold by Toyota in 15" only. More than likely I will use Sam's or COSTCO to get MXV4 tires. At Sam's Warehouse, 4 MXV4 tires are approx. $531 installed if you take advantage of a $70 discount being run as we post.

There are not many tires that come in the Touring OEM size of 195/R5516, and many of those are run-flats.

Recently, it seems that a popular tire Touring owners are getting in the Touring OEM size is the Falken Ziex ZE-912. It's available at OnlineTires.com for $77 each plus shipping:

    ZIEX ZE-912 - OnlineTires.com

Many Touring owners end up going with the wider 205/R5516 size because of the large variety of tires available in that size.

Use the search function: There are many threads about tires here, including a few threads specifically about tires for the Touring Edition. There are also posts about the specific tires mentioned above by the prior posters -- Bridgestone Potenza G019, Nokian WRG2,Yokohama AVID T4 and Michelin Pilot Primacy MXV4.

I'm probably going to put some 205/55/16 Yokohama S.Drives on my new Volk Eco Drives. I have to admit I'm really really inclined to put some Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Specs on though ;)
