I will be moving soon and I am wondering if I can use a front wheel tow dolly to tow my Prius behind my truck or if I need to get all 4 wheels off the ground with a flatbed trailer. I know the car is front wheel drive, but I am wondering if I will mess something up with the regenerative system if the back wheels stay on the ground.

The regenerative and drive system is front only, so you don't have to worry about that. The main problem with dolly towing is that the rear end is low, so you risk physical contact with the ground. For this reason 4 wheels off is better.

I have noticed lots being towed on a dolly behind motor homes. May cause a problem with the traction and skid control? H

Traction control doesn't work if the car is turned off.

If the car on the tow dolly is being used to push the motor home... maybe then you'd have cause to worry. :)

The full auto transport from like Uhaul isn't very much and then you wouldn't have to worry about scraping the exhaust or bumper.

There is lots of clearance when the Prius is connected to the dolly. Some dolly's require the ignition to be on #1 setting so that the steering is free when tuning I believe? My dolly has a platform that swings or turns so that the steering can be locked. H
