Toyota and Scion Are Offering Maintenance Programs

Toyota and Scion began offering free scheduled maintenance this spring as part of a promotional seasonal sales program. The Toyota program was scheduled to end after Sept. 7 and the Scion program after Sept. 30. In a news release, Toyota said it decided to make the programs permanent because of a favorable response from customers (73 percent of whom said it improved their confidence in the brand).


The Toyota Care and Scion Service Boost plans offer complimentary scheduled maintenance and 24-hour roadside assistance for two years, or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first, on new Toyota and Scion purchases. The Toyota and Scion plans cover all normal factory-recommended maintenance services that are outlined in the owner’s manual and include oil and oil filter changes, tire rotations, lubrication of key chassis parts and components.
