February 20, 2007 - Torrance, CA - Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc., today announced manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) for the 2007 Camry Hybrid 50th Anniversary Edition. The limited edition Camry Hybrid celebrates Toyota's 50 years of business in the United States.

This specially badged Camry Hybrid comes with features exclusive only to the 50th Anniversary Edition. Its stunning Blizzard Pearl paint, unique 16-inch alloy wheels with a graphite finish, and exterior "50th Anniversary Edition" badging are just some of the 50th Anniversary exclusives not available on any other Camry. A power moonroof and heated power outside mirrors are also standard.

Inside, the Camry Hybrid is equipped with a voice-activated DVD navigation system with a four-disc changer, leather-trimmed bisque-colored interior, heated front seats, and a carpeted cargo mat. Unique interior features include brushed stainless dash appliqué, illuminated front door sills, and carpeted floor mats with the "50th Anniversary Edition" logo.

Only 3,000 units will be built at Toyota Motor Manufacturing in Kentucky. The 50th Anniversary Edition will carry a base manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $31,680 and will start arriving at Toyota dealerships in March.

I saw it in the other Toyota forum. I like the brushed stainless steel appliqué and the illuminated door sills but the wheels could be better.

Also, being a 50th Anniversary, you'd think there'll be more features than the simple things.

What about a panoramic roof or HIDs? Something really special.

Completely agree. I mean the Lexus paint is nice, but how about some fog lights if only for style points?

My dealer just called and may not be able to deliver by 3/31. I'm rethinking this. The ~$1,200 premium compared to a loaded HyCam is very hard to justify. The tax credits are the same for all HyCams, so the economics say get a base model in a popular color and call it good. But it has to happen before 4/1 when tax credits are cut again.

And now with all the off-lease Prii hitting the used market, the cost of entry into the Toyota HSD Club is suddenly far less than even late last year.

It's not even a Lexus colour. The Avalon has Blizzard Pearl as a colour option.

Oh, I thought it was a GX color.

Yeah, Toyota is suddenly eliminating my favorites, the expensive pearl colors, from the lineup.
