I am having the rear hatch latch switch problem, so figured I'd fix the darn thing. At first I was going to cheap out and try the inner tube solution, but decided not to go cheap and just replace the whole switch assembly.

I poked around for a bit and the cheapest I could find online was around $65 for a real Toyota switch on EBay. Lots of them selling for $70 to $90

Decided to call my local Toyota dealer, expecting $100 or more. They offered to go to $65 -- from their original $75 price. I told them sold.

Sometimes, online is not always the cheapest solution.

Finally a "The Dealership Gave Me a Good Deal" post.

I knew if I lived long enough and hung around Prius Chat obsessively, eventually I'd read one.
