Hopefully, this means that the North American site will be updated soon.

Google does a pretty bad job of translating...I knew I should have paid more attention in Japanese class!

OK - so I chose German to English - that's why Google didn't do so well.

Here's a link to the translated website.

Wonder if the red shown is Barcelona---the blue is definitely not seaside, looks like a blue they had over there for '05.

whilst i'm sure there is a better translation, and i really don't know what it's referring to, i really enjoyed the "procrastination circumstance" reference. more proof that this car is made for me!

Thanks, Ken, for posting. Wouldn't be suprised to see a similar Toyota USA announcement today.

I see the prices listed, can you recall if that's a significant change from previous models?

:p I think I prefer the "Private car for friend matic installation" option over the
"Suicide seat rotary sliding seat car" option

To be fair, I should at least ask the salesman to demonstrate the "Suicide seat rotary sliding seat car" option before forming an opinion.
    :p

The Q&A school teacher is cute. How can I get into one of her classes? Granted I won't understand a single thing she says but I'm fine with that.

I'm thinking that it refers to a seat that can rotate to allow easier access for the driver.

    Any other ideas? Pictures? Links?

Interesting to convert listed prices to US:

    Leather Package: 3 255 000 Japanese yen = 28 048.2699 U.S. dollars

    Next package lower: 2 782 500 Japanese yen = 23 976.7468 U.S. dollars

Anyone know if this is inline with last years pricing in Japan? I expect that US prices would theoreticallybe a little higher due to shipping/tariffs.

wow, thats a heck of a jump if leather is the only thing added to the next highest package.

thinking about it, though, it makes sense that leather would be rather expensive in japan.

I don't think that's the one is it? I thought they were referring to the driver's or front passenger's seat that could lift up, turn and lower itself outside of the car for wheelchair accessibility.

    oh well lol.

Just with Canadian pricing, you can't do a direct conversion in prices because ht epackages are so different. The Japanese models have a lot fo tinny differences that could add up.

What we may be able to do is compare the 2005 Prius JA price to the 2005 Prius JA price and get a percentage in increase and apply that to the US Model; however, that may only give a guestimate.

I'd rather not spin my wheels worrying about that and just wait for the NA pricing schedule to come out.
