I starting a topic a last year about the desire for a Toyota hybrid minivan for the US market. Well, the Alphard (the name has gotta change for the US market :pukeright: ) has been in Japan for some time now. It's their top-of-the-line minivan.
    Check this out:
    http://www.toyota.com.hk/showroom/alphard/gallery.html

With that V-Package Aero kit it is the absolute coolest looking minivan I have ever laid eyes on! I would buy this in a heartbeat if they made a left-hand drive version.
Right now, I'm unanxiously in the market for a minivan. Wife and I are considering having a third child so more room may be necessary. I would wait to purchase the hybrid version of this minivan if Toyota was planning on making a left-hand version. I would go so far as ordering from another country if it was out there.

I would get a none-hybrid minivan before I would ever buy a hybrid SUV but alas it seems like that's what the auto manufacturers are going for.
The Alphard is EXACTLY what I want! Don't make me rough you up, Toyota! :cussing: Bring this to the State!

    Please...

I've been saying that for 2 years. Get a minivan in the US. Sell this technology to Soccer Moms and it's going to just explode.

and WHAT is WITH that low clearance?? Japan must have smoother/better roads than we have here - at least in the south.

of course it does look like its just a "panel" that might get messed up - I'm assuming the bottom of the car is higher than it looks?

All the soccer moms I know drive SUVs

I'd be in line for an economy minded mini-van to replace our '02 somewhere down the future (if my wife gets her way to expand the family any further).

I'm #2 for a hybrid Sienna at Boulder Toyota. It could be a while.

Japanese market only. That's the HK page. I don't think they sell the Alphard Hybrid in HK.
