    Now if we could only get them on a larger scale all over the country to power EVs and the PHEV Prius when it comes out....charge your car, your laptop, and surf the net while its charging on the side of the freeway.;)

    there already ARE several, around the nation as well as other parts of the world. But yes ... the giant solar flower bench looks like quite a PR campaign

    Won't happen in Canada. The cell phone companies (Telus, Bell, and Rogers) have managed to strangle out -all- who would install "free" city wifi. It would intrude on their overpriced cell based internet access ($50/month and up). Even our airports don't have free wifi.
