Toyota reveals its plan to catch up on EV battery technology | Ars Technica
LOL from the read;
I hope it could be true despite similar claims regarding their expensive hydrogen experiment ( they should have practically been ubiquitous by now) - where they extolled the virtues of the tech - while overstating a huge downside of electric cars published in dishonest EV bashing ads.
Crossing fingers that this time it's true.
No reason to think the new cars of today will not be updated and outdated like always, just this is at a faster clip.
more hype for the institutional stockholders
i'd give them 30k for a bz4x
A faster clip never before seen
We're rounding another corner and quarter. Got to let the investors know we have something.
Toyota says electric cars with 1500km range are just around the corner | PriusChat
I think the bit about pack height being shrunk is new.
When those metrics show up at the www.fueleconomy,gov web site, I'll be impressed.
bob, i'm 68, i can't wait for that
Ahhh, the impatience of youth.
Bob Wilson, age 73
you're as old as you feel
Until the next pretty girl walks by.
We can freeze your head, thaw it out around year 2525 when they have the tech to attach it to something
Damn, I’m older than you two combined then
In all seriousness, is this different from Toyota’s stated plans in 2017?
Then, they stated they planned to have 10 models of BEVs by “the early 2020s”.
They are running short on time
Well we are going to Mars:
How many years ago did all the other automakers reveal their "plans" for the EV transition? Kinda reminds me of how we celebrate the last person to cross the finish line of a marathon before the race shuts down and all the runners behind that person are not able to officially complete the race.
WHAT AN IMPRESSIVE ACCOMPLISHMENT!
reminds me of all the whiners when elon promises something and it takes longer than expected.
but at least it happens
Of course in Toyotas case, it's still years and years away from actually happening, which always takes longer than expected.
hasn't worked out that well on futurama
isn't walt disney still waiting almost 60 years later? i suppose time eludes him. ted williams too.
And if you work at one of those frozen head facilities and the freezer fails for a little while and the heads thaw out, do you get the whole business shut down by telling someone? Or just keep collecting payments as though the heads were still kept continuously frozen for centuries?
