Somewhere I recall reading that Toyota offers financial assistance for certain mods to their vehicles to assist the disabled. I thought it was in the manual but I can't find it.

I'm interested in a passenger seat that swivels to assist a handicapped passenger (my wife) who has difficulty entering and leaving the Prius.

    Anyone have any info?

    I don't have any info on financial assistance, but I note that PriusChat sponsor <a href=\'http://sigmaautomotive.com/jdm/prius/prius0405.php\' target=\'_blank\'>Sigma Automotive</a> offers this swivel seat. <img src=\'http://sigmaautomotive.com/jdm/prius/int-revolvercushion.jpg\' border=\'0\' alt=\'user posted image\' />

    Good luck!

I went round and round with them last year. Not offered here on the prius, it is on the Sienna.

I was upset as the Japan web site has all kinds of cool stuff. Seats slide out, even a wheelchair lift strap on the tailgate.

Woudln't hurt to call them, Could have changed by now. Enough people do that and maybe they will offer.

it's called the Toyota Mobility Program, call your dealer and ask for the sales manager. s/he will be able to give you more info.

the Sienna is the only covered vehicle for wheelchair conversions, but they do other mods to other cars.

A google search on Toyota Mobility Program gives a lot of information on this subject and here is the Toyota site info.
