    Did it say anything specific?

Battery? Hybrid transaxle? Inverter? Control Logic?

I see a quiet handshake here especially in view of the recently advanced fuel economy standards. To wit...

GM has a problem with its very capable 2-Mode system in that it fits well in large BOF vehicles and maybe some midsized crossovers but it doesn't fit well in it's midsized autos like the Malibu. If it did fit then the eventual Malibu 2-Mode would be every bit as capable as Toyota's THS.

However Toyota has nothing ( yet ) to offer as a hybrid version of the Tundra or Sequoia. Ford has a bigger problem because it has nothing to offer either.

Right now for 2016 as regards to meeting the CAFE truck standard both GM and Chrysler have a leg up but Toyota and Ford are on the outside looking in.
