    Yeah... lightweight, 2.5 litre boxer 4, RWD. I believe the Subie version will have an AWD option.

    i thought it was 2.0l boxer and no awd? :)

    since the whole point of this car was to be lightweight, i dont think how 400lb hybrid system helps there.

    Didn't Toyota say that by the year 20XX, all cars would be offered with a hybrid version?

    Maybe it's 2.0 litre. Sorry. But no AWD for Toyota/Scion. AWD option for Subaru (RWD standard) is what I've last heard.

    soooo... how could they make this a hybrid, at least using the existing HSD, without putting the engine/psd in the trunk?

    I suppose if the chassis supports AWD, then it would support FWD.

    Subaru had a Hybrid Sports Tourer poster on display at the auto show earlier this month (I just took a picture of it so that I can read it later... and I still haven't read it yet lol). Didn't see if it was the 4 or 6 cylinder motor that's paired.
