I have an 01 Prius and has sat in the driveway for about 8 months. The traction battery is shot. I want to get the car going again, because it is in such nice condition otherwise. It has about 123,000 miles on it. I am considering several options. One is re-involt for a rebuilt battery and the other is buying the guide to rebuild my own battery. Does anyone have any experience with rebuilding there own battery. Is the guide for sale on ebay, a good tool for a person to do it them selves. Has anyone used a re-involt rebuild and is it still working out ok. thanks:confused:

I don't know if this will help, but if you live in California, the law says that battery has a 150,000 mile warranty. I don't know when that law went into effect, though.
