    Hello all!!

We, only a month or so ago, bought an '05 Prius, with nav and bluetooth. We sold our '04 Linc. Navigator...that was getting 8mpg around town. We went to Knoxville to look for a "small" car, just to drive around town....and to get another car (Teresa likes the 350 Lexus) to "travel" in. We never really heard of the prius...we went to look at a Yaris...but when we saw the prius...we bought it!! WE loved it so much we went back to the dealer (Toyota of Knoxville, Tn.) and told them we wanted to "unwind" the deal and get a new one. We offered to pay for the 400 miles we put on the '05, but we wanted a new one...loaded! We really, thought we would loose a little on the deal, and waited their counter-offer. The mgr. called a coulple of days later and we did a "do-over", they took the car back, gave us all our money and we bought the driftwood pearl, pkg. 6 for just over $27,000. The sticker was 29 something, so I think we got a couple of thousand off list. I don't really know if this was a good or bad money deal...I know about ford/Linc pricing, hold backs, stairstep monies, etc., but not much about how Toyota does their pricing. We are happy with the deal and the price, even tho we have now heard about some of you that may have a received a better deal.

We are reading as many posts as we can...trying to learn about everything! Many thanks for all the info!
    Happy "new" Prius owners
    John and Teresa

Congratulations on your great NEW car! I find lots of subtle improvements from the 2005 to 2007, many I can't quite identify, but your new car is the tops!

Keep reading, keeps searching, feel free to ask questions if you can't find the answer.

The first thing We noticed was the big difference in the nav screen resolution...it is great!! Many thanks...it is a lot to soak in...every time I can, I spend a few min. reading through the posts...there are a "gazillion" (highly technical term for a big bunch) posts on here...I find out something new each time...you guys (gals) are really helpful.

Must be a private strip? Where else could you park your car on the runway?

Prius WB9TYJ positioned and holding short runway one-zero.

I think there was a report of debris on the rwy and I was asked to inspect it during a notam...and while doing so, someone must have snaped a couple of pix of this unknown vechicle...yes...that sounds like what I remember...I really don't recall... rwy 10 looks at the historic Cumberland Gap, where Dani'l Boone passed thorough to open up Ky. to the "west".

Hmmm I didn't know that the Prius has a secret flying mode! (just kidding)

Maybe someone could model a Prius for Microsoft Flight Simulator and acctually take off, or drive around! (Well in the sim at least)
