I have a 2009 package 6. When I try to transfer data from my phone, it never completes and I get no data. Am I doing something wrong, or is it broken?

You need to say which phone. Not all phones support transfer of contacts, even though the bluetooth otherwise works. There's a particular bluetooth protocol that has to be supported for transfer of contacts to work.

Correct. For example, my iPhone 3G will not transfer contacts. Grrrr

    Yes, depends on the phone.
My Sony Ericcson will transfer, but only one contact at a time. Better than not at all.

You have to set the Prius to accept the transfer, then go to the phone and make it send via Bluetooth.

If you do not have a phone that supports the BT push/pull, you can use a laptop with bluetooth. I have a Razr. I imported my phonebook to my PC, created a VCF file. The VCF file is a CSV file with name and numbers. The Prius phonebook only allows 2 numbers per name. Create the name, number1, number2 CSV file, rename the file extension to VCF. I xferred my entire phonebook with 1 operation.

Motorola's will only transfer one at a time. Can be very time consuming.

fulfowi, you'll also get some better information in the Audio and Electronics forum, rather than the Main forum.

Seems like half the topics there are about phones and BT; the other half are people trying to upgrade the sound system... ;)

is your cellphone paired to your Prius? if you are unable to transfer, you can input names and numbers manually.
