Transmission Warning On Screen???

    Hi

    I got a message on my screen that has since dissappeared. It read "There is a problem with the transmission "P" lock mechanism.
    Park your car on a flat surface and fully appy parking break.

    What does this all mean?

    Is this different than the error you get when you have a door open and go into drive? Like not closing the hatch fully?

    It is the same error. It can be a failing battery, or simply an open door.
