    We probably shouldn't set anymore limits. Why kid ourselves. I mean, the goal is to service the loan not to pay it off. That's the american way. And it's not like we're going to stop borrowing.

    You're right, it does seem rather silly. Someday we will get a president and congress really interested in balancing the budget. And BTW, it did not happen in the Clinton years, they used the money supposedly going into the Social Security trust fund and called it a surplus.
