Instead of using the normal walmart brand wheel cleaner whose mist seems to burn my eyes, I decided to use a gentler (or so to speak) wheel cleaner by Meguiars - the "Hot Rims" aluminum wheel cleaner. Suppose to be safe for polished aluminum, painted, or powder coated wheels.

The wheels are clean, but it seems like the acidic walmart brand wheel cleaner got things to sparkle a tad bit more. Well, I'd rather use Meguiars if it is gentler on the finish.

You can try Meguiars D143 -- it is a slightly more potent version of this cleaner that is packaged in bulk.

Sonax Full Effect and CarPro Trix are also two good options.
