Picked up my new white Prius v Model 5 wagon today. Pretty pleased with the purchase. Lots of reading to do. Dealer, of course, tried to get me to spend gobs of money on extended warranty products. Not my practice to do that & my auto insurance covers much of what some of the warranty products were selling.

Had my own financing set up before I got there but they steered me to Toyota financing because they wanted to feel me the additional warranties. They probably were disappointed. Spoke with service salesman who was familiarizing my wife & I on our Prius and told us how dependable they have become and that he bought a Prius with 100K miles on it and it runs like a top and has seen Prui with an excess of 200K miles and they are still ticking. Made us feel even better about not falling for the extended warranty products.:mod:

Congrats! I picked up my new Prius v yesterday also! It's very exciting but a lot of reading, especially with the navigation manual being almost as thick as the owners manual :)

    Congrats!!!

They are very nice cars. All that room and stellar efficiency to boot!

The 17s are very nice wheels but keep this in the back of your mind, 15" wheels with LRR tires will get much better fuel economy. Just in case you bought the 5 for reasons other than the wheels. :)

So far my fuel economy has been 41 mpg so I am happy. Besides, having traded an SUV in for the P, any increase in fuel consumption is a blessing. Thus, the size of the tires was a non-issue for me.

Picked up my v III yesterday in Pearl Blizzard. So Far So Good. Ton's of reading to do. Can I receive texts and emails in the III or is that only a V?

They don't but people change wheels all the time. I was just pointing out that it may be an option if you want to raise your fuel economy. :)
