Trim Ring removal and gas savings???

    is it true that I should take these off to improve gas milage?? seems a bit of a strech to me but you folks know best!!!

    There is no measurable difference with them on or off.

    My guess is you would lose somewhere around .001mpg with the trim rings off (if that much!) If you like the look of the wheels better with them off; grab them and pull! Mine are off and the wife likes them on.

    But then you could gain .001mpg due to less weight My wife has claimed the Prius as her's and won't let me take them off.
