    The forbidden railway - a train trip to Pyongyang ? - ???? - ??? - ??

A friend of mine posted the link and I haven't had time to look through it all thoroughly. Click on the links on the right side for the juicy details and pictures.

All I can say is wow. I'm amazed that he was able to get in through the route that he did and the NK government didn't either bar him from coming that way or send minders to meet him at the border given that he had to get a visa.

There's some interesting notes about this at the end of The forbidden railway - a train trip to Pyongyang ? - ???? - ??? - ??: Entering North Korea at Tumangan.

Fascinating. I've often wondered about countries where the sole express purpose of the barbed wire is to keep the people in, not to keep foreigners out
