Trip Report

    We have had our 2011 Prius for 10 months but never took a long trip in it. I had been looking forward to driving the car long distance but could not drive during the trip due to eye surgery so my wife took over driving duties.

    She had only driven the Prius on 2 short rides when we first got it. She got in and did an amazing job with a total drive of 854 miles and 57mpg for the total trip with an avg speed of just under 60 mph. Actual mileage was about 55 mpg based upon fuel use. We had 3 in the car and luggage with AC on about half the time. We were very impressed
