So I have had many people ask me if I feel comfortable investing in newer technology, in this case my hopefully soon to be Toyota Prius. Honestly I think if this car was made by another manufacturer I would be far less likely to make my purchase. I found this test of a toyota pickup, it is quite long but very illistrative of why people trust Toyota far beyond other manufacturers.

    Enjoy

hah! that's great. a very amusing 15ish minutes. thanks!

along those lines- DH wants to get another 88 camry to see how long the engine runs without oil, just as an experiment. he swears up and down you'll get quite a few miles out of it. we've owned 2 of that particular generation camry and junked the first one because the engine outlasted the body... and oh yes he still has the engine and the tranny in storage to rebuild some day when he has free time. he has pics of the old body... more rust than metal but the thing ran perfectly with near 300k on the clock!

i told him that experiment would cost too much unless someone gave us a car they wanted to junk.

I would take back my old 88 Toy P/U even if it looked like that. It was stolen and never found. My daughter learned to drive stick on that truck. Loved it!!
