While I can appreciate the safety of making sure the driver is not distracted, I've had my car maybe a month and this is driving me insane. I can be going down the road, looking forward, but my eyes will be looking at a legit distraction on the roadside that I need to account for and the incessant dinging starts. So far I haven't found settings in the car to turn it off despite Google telling me I should be able to. Am I doomed to live with this?

Hmmm, i see that in my book. So that means the setting should be there when looking at the setting in the car?

Man, do I feel stupid. I thought all the setting were in the touchscreen settings section. Just realized yesterday there was a whole set from the steering wheel controls.

The documentation is poor and the controls confusing. Toyota is good at hardware interfaces, but poor at human interfaces.
But I have found their telephone support to be good.
