This might be a silly question and I hope you won't judge me too harshly for it.

I'm not terribly experienced with automotive things, but I have successfully changed tail lights and light bulbs in my '01 Tacoma and '12 Prius more than once. It seems that three bulbs in my Prius have bit the dust at the same time: license plate light, driver's side low beam headlight, and left turn signal. I figured it would be smart to just swap out all three sets, however, I am a little nervous to change out the turn signal bulb because it requires removing a splash guard(?) from under the bumper. Is it safe to put the car on the jack to replace the bulb or should I just have a mechanic do it? YouTube makes it look pretty simple, but I also don't want to be crushed to death. lol

Thanks in advance for any insight!
