I recently came across a few videos where the Gen 3 Prius has OEM turn signals in the mirrors. Are these Canadian or International models? I ask as I have not seen a Gen 3 with turn signal blinkers in the side mirrors here in the states. Perhaps, I just haven't notice it or are they available here? Also, are they plug and play to the existing power mirror harness or require additional wiring?
I have them and bought them here from another forum member a while ago. Still work perfect and were already painted black so I got em. They are found in Japan and like you said I believe Canada also. I have a thread on mine if you check my profile.
I figured these were JDM or CDM. Are they plug and play in our US models without them? Where can I see yours again? I just found a set my color (blue) for $199 on ebay. Is that a good price?
Well I bought mine used so I got em cheaper but that is the max I would pay. I installed mine myself and there is wiring to do, so it is not plug in play. Search Top sage signal mirrors
I did see that but what wiring did you do? It doesnt say or show anything about how you wired it up just photos. They look noice, id def use them as turn signals and leave the light amber myself. Also $80 is a deal!
Well in your case, you would need to tap into the turn signal wire on each side. I just used the side marker wires on each side and skipped the turn signal wire. Running the wires through the boot is a slow process but anything before or after that is a cake walk. I hate amber so much rhat my headlights are also from Japan and have clear lenses instead of the amber side marker.
