Today the turn signals stopped working. Hazards work and the fuse under the hood in the engine compartment looks fine (#16 a 10A fuse) Nothing else seems to be wrong. You move the lights/turn signal stick and it does nothing, neither left nor right. Does anyone have any ideas? I've searched but cannot find anything. This community always has the answers!

you may have to do some electrical trouble shooting. do all the steering wheel buttons work? i'm not sure if the signal wiring is seperate or part of the clock spring.

The Repair Manual (more info) shows that the hazard switch and turn switch are separate inputs to the turn signal flasher assembly. If the hazard switch works, then the trouble is more likely to be in the headlight dimmer switch assembly (which contains the turn switch) or its wiring than in the turn signal flasher assembly.
The Repair Manual shows that the steering wheel assembly and spiral cable (clock-spring) have to be removed before the headlight dimmer switch assembly can be removed, but its wiring doesn’t go through the spiral cable, since the lever doesn’t need to turn with the steering wheel.

Just don't ask me to pronounce it. At least not around anyone actually French. I could possibly sound convincing to Miss Piggy.
