Turning off the voice prompt

    Is there some way to turn off the annoying prompt "After the beep, please say a command." After the first dozen times it's rather pointless.

    I agree 100%. It's very annoying to have to wait for the voice prompt before giving a command. It makes the voice feature useless to me.

    Yes, under settings you will find a "voice guideance on/off" setting. It is on the second page. From the NAV manual description you would never guess what it does. Sorry, I am not near the car so I cannot be more specific as to which buttons to push but it is not too hard to find.

    Menu button, Setup icon, scroll down to page 2, then Voice Recognition Guidance set to Off.

    Thanks for all the replies... that worked. It was unclear what those did. I was under the impression the setting would turn off all voice prompts while driving, which I don't want.
