Tweeter Placement in New Components

    I just recently replaced the front component speakers in my 2008 with JL Audio TR650's. I'm happy with the speakers themselves but am considering moving the tweeters closer to the woofers for better imaging. Anyone have any experience with this?

    I'm curious about the clearance behind the door panel for a flush mount, but I must say that the idea of taking a hole saw to my new baby is a bit intimidating...

    Search for posts from a PriusChatter under the name "Actual Mileage"; he did a set of Diamond Audio HEX 6-1/2" components in his front doors. He mounted the tweeters down in the kick-panel area if I recall correctly. He should be able to answer your questions if you PM him.
