    Hi folks,
As mentioned in a previous thread, my Prius was recently fitted with replacement tyres, of a different type to the originals.( due to damage on one wheel and no supply available of the original type)
The replacement type is the Michelin Energy XV8, and these have proven to be quieter and softer in ride than the originals (XV1)
The only remaining thing to determine was the effect on fuel averages.
After three tanks I can report that there has been a small improvement.
It has gone from 4.9 to 4.6 L/100km, an improvement of 0.3L.
In US terms, this calculates as going from 48 to 51mpg, an improvement of 3mpg!
This is with standard pressures of 35/33.
Later I may try increasing the pressures to see if there is further improvement.
