This is quite a story in today's LA Times. The Rover will most certainly change how US Military fights wars and protects themselves, photo reconn with a laptop.

"Greg Harbin saw a way to streamline airstrikes. The solution -- and his cause -- was the Rover, a device that would one day save his life."

"The Rover, or the Remote Operations Video Enhanced Receiver, was born in 2002, shortly after the Afghanistan war began."

"In Randolph's class, Harbin took a deep interest in the military history of World War II. Harbin decided to apply to the military academies, and in 1983, he entered the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo."

I shouldn't tell you this, but Canada has millions of miniature Avro Arrows parked in orbit, ready to drop on anyone, anywhere. We can control them with a 'video game' our cell phones. ;)

If you look closely enough at the next mosquito you see, you may find a maple leaf tattooed on its left butt cheek. Those ones are working for us. :D

Yes, and you don't have to look too closely, because they have BIG butt cheeks. We don't bother with screens on our boat when we sail in Canadian waters, since most of the bugs there are too big to fit through the hatches and ports.

I wondered what hobbit was talking about - slapping mosquitos. Silly boy. We're all blood donors here. In some places, people under a certain weight, depending on the season, have to tie themselves down, lest they be carried off. And you should SEE the size of the dragonfiles that hunt those 'wee' beasties. Fearsome weapons, indeed.

But the latest is really something special. If we can just get the returning time signatures on these tachyon displacement fields to match, Cortez and Columbus are history. I mean...not. Don't worry, you won't feel a thing. :)
