Ugliest Prius Contest (I think I found the winner)

All I can say is, What would you do that for? Each to his, or in this case, her own.

 

I'm of the minority that actually bought my Gen II Prius for its looks, among other reasons.

The car design crowd always points to two cars in recent years that they think were revolutionary because of their different and/or aesthetically beautiful styling: The Audi TT (and implicitly, the VW New Beetle) and the Cadillac CTS.

I, for one, think that the Gen II Prius belongs in the same conversation. I still remember when I first saw pictures of the Gen II Prius. I was literally stunned. I felt the same as when I first saw pictures of the TT and New Beetle. (I didn't feel the same when I first saw pictures of the CTS ... just thought it was very different; not bad, but not beautiful.)

 

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I find nothing wrong with the styling of the Prius.
Though others have told me the styling is ugly.
To me styling is more than just looks, it is also design and ergonomics.
To me, so far, the design of items like storage areas and ease of access to basic maintenance items contribute to good styling.
And I realize the Prius is designed for aerodynamics.
I find it very pleasing to look at.

But paint it pink.............................?

That's another story altogether.

 

Looks like something you would be given for selling lots of Mary Kay Cosmetics.

 

Its not even a nice, flashy pink...its that dull pink, looks like a bottle of pepto bismal...rims are different too, id still prefer the stocks.

 

I'd second the Mary Kay special edition. Maybe a little too much blush.:cheer2:

Ah, without seeming rude to the owner. I like custom paint jobs, mods etc. But why in the world? Almost like defacing money.

 

That one is the "Hello Kitty" special edition. Very limited production. Flashy interior as well, with "Hello Kitty" games available on the MFD.
