The tyres Bridgestone Turanza I have fitted to my 2007 UK Prius do not appear to have a maximum pressure on them, does anybody know what it might be. The recommended pressure is about 33 front 31 rear normal, 36 front 34 rear high speed.

    Thanks

    :) Hi gazz

I also did not find a definitive 'Maximum Pressure' on my Bridgestone Turanza tires. After trying the 40 psi/38 psi I had been using for my '04 Prius Goodyear Integriities and being displeased with the 'feel' and 'ride,' I reduced the settings to 35 psi/33 psi as recommended by Toyota on the doorpost placard.

I am pleased with the 2007 Touring Edition at those pressures and (in U.S. terms) am experiencing 42-45 MPG in the city and 48-53 MPG motorway cruising at 60-65 MPH.

I have a 2005 with the Bridgestones and I ran the first set at 42 psi front and 40 psi rear, dropping to 40 and 38 in the winter. The handling, noise and comfort was fine (that will to a degree depend on your roads and driving style) and the fronts lasted for 27,000 miles. I think UK law dictates that you should be within 3psi of the recommended pressures, something to be aware of.

Yes I was thinking of the law but if I run them at the full load pressure and higher speed for the motorways I think that should be OK. It is still within the manufacturers recommendation.

Nice to hear from a Prius owner in the UK, which model have you and what do you get from it?

Also do you know of the difference between the US and UK models, ie fuel tank bag?
