It would appear that Mercedes cars are totally unsafe in the same way as Toyotas as the following clip shows. Perhaps there should be a mass recall and the banning of automatic cars - well either that or the driver pressed the accelerator instead of the brake!

Let's ban automatic transmissions and bring back the good old manual tranny

See, although I love your shameless self promotion you've scared me from visiting Britain or even being near a Mercedes here in the states.
What to do, what to do?

This is the second time you've mentioned this. I can only assume you're secretly wanting to come and visit :D

Interesting to see that there is nothing mentioned on why she drove inside, for what reason, what faults of the car and so on - nothing. It is clearly plain normal to drive into somebody's show window... If it were a Toyota instead....

This time a Mercedes Van was seen swerving across a motorway. Was the driver too tired or is it in inherent steering problem with Mercedes? Maybe they should be recalled? One Mercedes drives into a shop and another swerves about on the road! Are they fit for purpose?

Joao Paulo Augusto Garcia jailed over soldier James Ashdown's death (From York Press)

p.s. At least the van driver got a suitable prison sentence for his negligence.

I wonder why they have not prosecuted his boss as well, since he had been psychologically harassing his employee. I am pretty sure there are laws in Portugal as well for this.
It's a shame, and I am pretty sure Garcia did what he did because being afraid of losing his job - he could not tell his boss to f**k off and let him work. They could have sent the radios with a flight, since it was so urgent, instead they went cheap and the death of a man resulted. His boss should be jailed as well.
