Buy a 2010 Gen III instead. You should be able to find a Gen III with about the same number of miles for $15K.

Pass on the 2008 at that price.

I've seen worse and I've seen better.
In my little world (where I put less than 15k miles a year on my cars and they succumb to body rust before they wear out) I'd tend towards a Gen 3 2010 with more miles on it. It appears that traction battery life is more of a years thing than a miles thing. Two years newer means two years more before a battery issue.
The Gen 2's have a loyal following and somewhat nicer interior materials but aren't as fuel efficient (particuarly at speed).
I do like that shade of blue!
Of course, you aren't really in the market for a few more years yet, right? :)

Buffalo is a bit of a haul from Hampton Roads though...

If your thinking of buying out someone's lease be sure to know the cost to buy the car outright at the end of the lease. In many cases you can get a Great deal buy taking over the lease and buying the car from the leasing company.

You're a long way from Iowa, but just for reference, there are 2 different 2010's for sale around here: both for $16,600 and with slightly less miles, plus they are Gen III's. I agree with the previous comment that the price is a little high for an '08.
