Hello everyone! This is my first post on PriusChat! :)

Looking to get your feedback on whether this is a good deal or not.
I live in the Annapolis, MD area and the dealer is the southern Maryland area (Prince Frederick - Bayside Toyota). Supply seems to be pretty equal to demand so no bid wars (yet)....

Asking Price: $19,800. (Taxes, Tags, etc. totals to $21,419)

Silver (the color I want!) 2010 Prius II with less than 30,000 miles. Does have a built-in Toyota Blue Logic (Bluetooth) system. Includes Certified Toyota Warranty.

Very Good condition. Insides are very clean. No noticeable flaws other than minor scratches in the front bumper. Carfax looks clean. 1 owner, no accidents, dealer maintenance about every 6000 miles. Reputable dealer in the area. KBB estimates it to be at $18,926 (VG condition) for private party value and at $17,091 for trade-in value.

Let me know if I missed anything!

    Thanks!!
    TK

I forgot to mention. No trade-in from me. I'm replacing my 2006 Toyota Prius which was seriously injured in an accident (luckily, no one was injured!). Insurance Payout: $17,000. Higher than I expected. Thanks.

No, you can find a Prius IV in this forum for about the same price. Since you can pay cash, look in your local Craigslist.

Since I paid about $22,000 for my 2010 in June of 2009 I would say it's over priced.

I have a 2010 II and I would not sell it for the 19.8 k. The 2011's are going for 23-24K$ and the short supply due to the Tsunami kicked up the prices

    tk,
I would look a little harder in your area for a new one (2011) I saw prices in my area today (San Diego) at the lowest prices I've ever seen for 2001's. Several dealers have 2011 II's (with bluetooth) for under $22,000 and a few dealers are selling III's under $23,000.
It is a personal choice, but it if it was me here, I would paying $2000 more and get a brand new 2011 or wait 3-5 months for the 2012's to come out and their price to settle out. I see you don't have that option now that your 2006 is O. O. C.,
    good luck.

I just paid $20,000 for a 2010 II w/ JBL and Bluetooth w/ 15k miles is amazing condition.
Talk them down... At that price you might as well wait to see if Toyota changes their incentive on the new 2011s. 2000 to 3000 more for 30k less miles.... no brainer
I will never pay blue book no matter how much I want it. Research other prices of cars and bring the examples to the dealer to get the price lower. Get them down at least $1,000.00 if you want it that bad.
