    .... best sounding engine ever made, Reg Parnell's V16 BRM Type 15:



    Keep in mind, This is not (NOT) a classical heel 'n toe vehicle. You are freewheeling ex ante apex, double-clutching this vehicle, tagging your downshift, ex post apex. If you want to do it right, this is (e.g., the antithesis of classical momentum drivers, Teo Fabi and John Watson) a fast-in, slow-out vehicle.

    Very touchy. Not a nice car to drive. Testing Tony Rudd's (e.g., *correction: mixing up my Tonys; *Rudd, not Southgate) Type 15, Fangio himself nearly lost it.

    A blown Packard built Merlin V1650.......

    They even put them on the aft end of unlimited hydroplanes back in the day....before the sport was emasculated by jet boats.
