Just received my new 2005 Prius(pkg 4,m.silver) Friday and I need to know-
should the indicator light for the hybrid vehicle immobilizer system flash steadily the entire time the vehicle is off? Wouldn't this be a drain on a battery?
Note-there is no theft deterrent system on this unit. Pg 21 of my owners manual is a little confusing for me and my dealer is clueless.

Yes it's supposed to flash. This means the vehicle is immobilised (all models) and armed (if equipped with alarm).

Congratulations, zoomzoomzoey! A dealer that isn't so clueless can enable the alarm that is in all Prius models. Look in the Audio & Electronics thread for more details.
