My 2010 Prius (130k miles) has recently started beeping on curves, turns and braking on occasion. The red triangle also comes on. There is no problem otherwise. It is a bit annoying. Anyone have any ideas as to the cause of this? Could I have the beep turned off? Thanks.

Sounds like aggressive driving on worn tires to me. Anything that makes a tire lose traction will cause this like wet streets, loose gravel, potholes, etc.

    Thanks,

The tires are a bit worn but not worn out.
I do drive pretty fast and always in power mode.

What is the tire tread depth? If less than 4/32" you should replace them given your driving habits and your concern about the VSC system triggering as a result of those habits.

I don't think it is the tires or my driving. The car just passed the safety today and my driving is no different from before. I think it may need a zero recalibration of the VSC system. Anyone know more about this? Thanks.
