Had my car evaluated for a trade-in, and noticed last night the vent clip was no longer attached to the vent.

Now the good news is that nothing is broken. The clip consists of a gripper that guides the vent open/closed, a small foam like stabilizer and a toggle for ones hand to change the direction of the air.

To fix, I think I need to remove the vertical bar (for lack of a better term), assemble the clip - and replace. Not sure how to remove or replace that little vent bar or otherwise repair. Can try assembling with the vent in place, but high risk of losing the gripping clip into the car vent/dash.

Anyone with ideas on how to fix?
