We are looking for new cell phones and there are just so many to choose.

Since were using Verizon they are offering lots of basic phones (*no data plans) pretty much cost free for our contract renewal.

    We currently have a 3 y/o EnV.
Besides connecting the phone blutooth to the pri, what models or other features do you like on your newer phones?

Anyone use WiFi feature of phones?
I can't see us using a iPhone for the web and a $25/month extra but might want tether our laptop,

Any cells w/ sim cards? What the advantage?

    TIA

One advantage to getting a smart phone is many can do Bluetooth music streaming (in addition to connecting the phone functionality via BT).

WiFi is used on smart phones to connect to the internet (when near a hotspot, or in your home), for web browsing, email, etc. Most smart phones require a data plan.

Sim cards aren't used on the Verizon network--only on GSM (like AT&T uses).

Droid works fine - but I do want that internet accessibility.
And I do see Apple as the new evil empire.
