    Greetings from a new owner.

Is there a way of adjusting the volume of "the voice"? In my car, I'd like it to be louder and with more high frequencies.

    Thank you all.

Press the Menu Button (top right of MFD) and you will see the Voice Volume Button.

In my car yesterday, was a young woman who is writing a paper on feminist values. Although she seems to be moderate on the subject, she believes we should be given a choice of sex and a choice of dialects for the "voice". Personally, I like the voice. My wife and I are amazed at how she never gets mad at us.

Which brings me to Question 2:
The GPS route to my work stinks. Can I customize and save the route?
(Please don't ask that if I know the route why do I need the GPS)

My wife is a retired programmer who began programming in 1959. She gets upset because she doesn't think it would have been too difficult to have included the option you refer to. The answer is no as far as we know.

You can set up a preferred road. You can also set up an interim dest. passing through your desired path.

    Saved route

[font=Comic Sans MS:59e76ecb81]Unfortunately, Dan, there is no way to save your preferred route and your preferred streets. Sometimes nav makes very stupid route choices.

Sharka, it's best to use nav when you are going to a new destination you've never visited. It will usually get you there, or at least close, but it is very fallible. Like the owner's manual says, you should rely on your own good judgement, not the nav unit.

Quite true. Last Saturday we were out in the boonies and the NAV told us to turn off the road the place was on and go down another road. We did and it asked us to turn onto a road that's best traversed by pack mule. When we turned back on the correct road it kept asking us to make a legal U-Turn (rather than changing the route). At least the POI destination was in the correct placen the map.
