Hey everyone :) just had a recent thought…

So in my country (South Africa) virtually no NEV comes with any form of pedestrian warning sound systems. It was only in 2021 I think that the updated Gen4 Prius introduced its notorious VPNS here. I’ve got a 2016 that doesn’t come with it, but have always been fascinated by having a spaceship-like sound on when the car is running in ev mode…
However, I won’t lie, Hyundai’s kinda got the sound spot in imo with their VESS - especially in the Tucson hybrid.

I was wondering then if anybody’s attempted any kind of modification to their Prius or Rav hybrid or anything Toyota, by transplanting the Tucson sound into it? I’ve seen that the Toyota assembly has a 2-pin connector while the Hyundai’s is 8-pin…is there any way to get this kind of swap to work or would I have to be some a whole electrical engineer to get this going?
Any bit of advice or information on the whole thing would help :)

i think you're the first person who has ever wanted to add noise to his prius instead of trying to make it quieter.
i would love to hear the tucson sound if you could record and post it.
