What is your experience on wait time (order to delivery)? Our local guy says 60-90 days. It has been 6 weeks now and we still are not showing up on the allocation sheet. Somebody said the new Camry hybrid production slowed down the Prius production lines. Your thoughts?

I was quoted 1-2 months at the end of April, and waited only 3 weeks. But I was willing to take almost any color (drew the line at black).

I bought mine as it was being loaded on to the ship... I didn't care to much about the color... the local dealers said the waiting list for a package 4 was around 3 months while the wait for a package 7 was 4-6 weeks (if you wanted a special color and the like) while a package 8 was around 5 months.

One of the local dealers had three on the lot. One #2 or #3 and two #7's. If I trusted the dealer I probally would have bought one on the spot but I felt they where lieing a few times... and trying to apply some high preasure taticts...

I've also emailed a few others, via toyota car finder sites, and most of the tend to say I could get the package/color I want with in a 6 weeks.

As for the new Camry... isn't that being built in the states? I woudn't have tought Toyota would have figured out supply chain issues before production started.

The HyCam will be built in the US starting in SEP of this year, if I recall correctly. So in the meantime the Japanese plants are struggling to churn out both the Prius and the HyCam (as well as the others as well).

I bought off the lot at end of March, same dealer currently has 4-6 week backlog.

I placed my deposit on a 2006 Prius (package #7 with leather seats) on May 4th and took delivery on May 19th - total of 15 days. The Toyota dealership (in GA, part of Southeast Toyota) worked to switch auto allocations to get my Prius in.
